Patterns don’t repeat because you’re doing something wrong
They repeat because they were learned
Therapy offers a quiet place to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and reconnect with yourself
My approach
My work is steady, thoughtful, and grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I offer a calm, nonjudgmental space to talk about what feels heavy, confusing, or hard to say aloud. As we build insight together, change becomes clearer and more possible.
We slow down to understand what’s underneath your emotions and the patterns shaping your relationships, choices, and inner world, including:
the roots of anxiety, self-doubt, burnout, or overwhelm
how past and present relationships influence how you respond
cultural, family, and identity-based expectations that affect you today
Clients describe me as warm, attentive, and steady. I listen closely, ask questions that help you see yourself with more clarity and compassion, and offer observations gently. Our work moves at a pace that supports your comfort and your goals.
Why psychodynamic psychotherapy
Psychodynamic psychotherapy is about understanding why certain patterns keep showing up so they can shift in meaningful, lasting ways. It often resonates with people who seem fine on the outside but feel unsettled or disconnected inside.
In this approach, the relationship itself becomes part of the healing. You can expect:
a collaborative relationship that helps you experience something different
space to name feelings you’ve carried quietly for a long time
steady support in understanding the roots of your reactions and patterns
Many people begin therapy when something feels off, even if they don’t yet have the words. Together, we make sense of those feelings and create room for new ways of relating to yourself, others, and your life.
The therapeutic process
Grounding in your story
In the early sessions, we’ll get a clear sense of what’s bringing you in and what you hope might feel different. We may explore:
what you’re struggling with and how you’ve been coping
relationships and experiences that shaped your inner world
how culture, family, or identity influence what you carry today
There’s no need to share everything at once. We move at a pace that feels steady and safe. Most clients meet weekly to build consistency and momentum.
Deepening the work
As therapy continues, you may start to see your patterns more clearly, understand the roots of your reactions, and feel more grounded. Together, we may explore:
longstanding emotional or relational patterns
attachment themes and protective strategies
cultural or family narratives that shape your inner world
Depth-oriented work is gentle but powerful. You’ll notice shifts in how you understand yourself and how you respond to challenges.
Reflecting together
Throughout therapy, we’ll regularly check in about:
what’s shifting for you
what feels supportive or challenging
what you’d like to explore next
Therapy is collaborative. Your voice and comfort guide the process. When you feel clearer, steadier, and more in tune with yourself, we’ll plan a thoughtful, gradual closing so you can carry the work forward with intention.
A quieter, steadier confidence
Therapy doesn’t rewrite your history. It helps you understand it and move through the world with greater self-trust and ease. If you’re ready to book a consult or learn more, I’d love to connect.
